Often colored dark brown to pitch black, the American Black Ale is a bit of a hybrid beer. Combining the bold fruit and piney hop profile of an American IPA along with medium to dark roasted malt flavors similar to an American Porter, this beer's flavor can vary widely among different brewers.
A genuine American brewing concoction, this beer originated in either Vermont or the Pacific Northwest, and is an appealing style for all those who can appreciate the complex and assertive hop and roasted flavors.
Best served cool, around 46-51 degrees F, in a pint, stemmed tulip, or large wine glass.

There are two kinds. There is the DayTime kind, which is bright and welcoming and then there is the NightTime kind, which should never be confused with the DayTime. NightTime is dark and deep and may take you to unexpected places, places that the DayTime can not.
First brewed in 2007 as the Stone 11th Anniversary Ale, this ale was an instant hit. With us. Other folks with great taste loved it too, but we were focused on how much we liked it, and we felt it was truly sublime.
Summer is over, but cheer up pretty people, it’s time for the newest installment in our Fade to Black Series. This Rye Ale boasts a deep dark brown body with an off white head. This dark brew envelopes your nose with aromas of dark coffee, maple wood and hints of dark agave nectar.
Iniquity, depravity, sin, wickedness. The opposition to goodness. Iniquity is an ale as dark as night, hops and malts conceding the victory over conventional standards with this unapologetic black ale. Why do we call it Iniquity? It’s contrary to what one would expect from an IPA.
