The Calling
The Calling is an undeniable IPA we were driven to make. It's our tribute to like-minded dreamers, adventurous spirits, and glass half-full optimists.
By doubling down on the American IPA formula, the American brewers created new levels of hop flavor and intensity.
Generally a pale gold to a deep copper, these beers are sometimes hazy or cloudy if dry hopped or unfiltered. Like the American IPA that it's based on, the flavor profile of this beer can vary - but it is almost always fairly aggressive. Copious American hops - often citrus, piney, and floral - are balanced by a relatively large amount of alcohol and plenty of caramel malts. Hop bitterness is almost universally high, and the ABV is often 7% or above.
The term "Imperial" comes from Russian Imperial Stout, a style of strong beer originally brewed in England for the Russian Imperial Court of the late 1700s. Best served cool, 46-54 degrees, in stemmed tulip, beer snifter, or large wine glass.

With over 3 lbs of hops per barrel, Kermit The Hop is bright, citrusy and palate-wreckingly bitter. Resinous pine coats the tongue and reluctantly gives way to grapefruit and a grassy bitterness that stays at the back of the tongue for days. (Description provided by company)
Dangerously drinkable, this Double IPA brew is a spirited celebration of all things hoppy. Aromas of pine, citrus, flowers, spice, pineapple, and grassiness complement a biscuit and caramel backbone.

Just like our regular Oka Uba, the Imperial version has a sweet, malty backbone followed by a strong American hops finish. This beer is generously dry hopped with two varieties of hops to give it an amazing hop forward profile. (Description provided by company)
Keeping with the Cahaba theme, Fraxinus is named after the genus of the Ash tree, which is a common species along our beautiful Cahaba River. Fraxinus is an amazing Double IPA. By using a technique called "Hop Bursting," we are able to create a beer that has 120 calculated IBUs.
This is a big beer!...with 122 IBU's and weighing in at 9.4%.
Falconer's Flight, Falconer's 7C's, Zythos are added to the boil for bitterness and aroma.
It is then finished off with Sorachi Ace, a lemon profile hop from Japan, that brings it all together.
Cryptic, our take on the West Coast style double IPA. With its pale color and crisp, dry body, it's no secret that the hops are on full display. Columbus and Zythos hops added during the boil and dry hopped with Zythos, expect flavors and aromas that range from pine to apricot to pineapple.
