Saison / Farmhouse Ale

Originally brewed in the south of Belgium, the Saison (French for "seasons") was originally brewed toward the end of winter in order to last through the warmer months.

Ranging in color from golden to orange, these beers have a wide variety of flavors. The malt sweetness is moderate to low, with a mild hop bitterness and an earthy, citrus, and floral flavors and aromas from the local yeast used. Still relatively crisp and light - perfect for the summer months.

Best served at cool to cellar temperatures, 46-57 degrees, in a stemmed tulip or large wine glass.

A postmodern deconstruction of the American industrial lager made with naughty ingredients like corn and rice, completed with pilsner malt and lots of your favorite old-school American hops and farmhouse ale yeast.. "your Grandfather's new beer". (Description provided by company)

Push through the thick brambles and present yourself to the Three-Eyed Raven. Abiding in the shadows of the Three-Eyed Raven lies this deceptive Dark Saison. The ominous Three-Eyed Raven inspired us to brew a Dark Saison ale, a hybrid style open to brewer’s imagination.
