Our Belgian Saison is brewed with generous amounts of pink peppercorns to accentuate the herbal, earthy, spicy notes of this amazing yeast. Korean pears marinated in Chardonnay are added to fermentation along with French oak.
Originally brewed in the south of Belgium, the Saison (French for "seasons") was originally brewed toward the end of winter in order to last through the warmer months.
Ranging in color from golden to orange, these beers have a wide variety of flavors. The malt sweetness is moderate to low, with a mild hop bitterness and an earthy, citrus, and floral flavors and aromas from the local yeast used. Still relatively crisp and light - perfect for the summer months.
Best served at cool to cellar temperatures, 46-57 degrees, in a stemmed tulip or large wine glass.

One more than 20. Twenty plus one year. We're officially legal folks, and, dammit, we're celebrating! We figured the best way to honor a coming-of-age/milestone birthday is with this dark Saison beauty.
Push through the thick brambles and present yourself to the Three-Eyed Raven. Abiding in the shadows of the Three-Eyed Raven lies this deceptive Dark Saison. The ominous Three-Eyed Raven inspired us to brew a Dark Saison ale, a hybrid style open to brewer’s imagination.
Throughout Northern Europe, light-bodied, well-hopped, low alcohol table beers were often the beverage of choice with all meals at times and in places where the water wasn’t always safe to drink.
Our Saison has a hazy golden hue. It's brewed with Belgian specialty malts and has a crisp citrus flavor with a spicy pepper finish. (Description provided by company)

Most breweries have at least one piece of equipment that’s just a bit persnickety. Here at Boulevard we have fermenter number seven, the black sheep of our cellar family.
To pay tribute to our new familial ties, brewmasters Steven Pauwels and Phil Leinhart chose to create a Saison, the traditional Belgian farmhouse ale.
