Description:
With one foot in winter and the other in spring, we crafted this Belgian-inspired Brown Ale with the first peaches of the season and coriander. It has a tart taste balanced by caramel malts for the cooler days and peach notes for the warmer ones. (Description provided by company)

The first shall be last
Blue Moon's First Peach ale is kind of an odd beer. I can't comment on the color, because I drank it straight from the bottle. It smells pleasant enough, with plenty of peach and spice notes. The flavor is surprisingly not sweet at all, as it is with most other peach beers. The tartness is pretty prominent, the coriander a little less so. It tastes alright, but nothing about the flavors really gel. It's just kind of there. You're better off drinking Terrapin's peach beer if you can find it.
Not Quite Peachy
Drunk straight from the bottle, so I'm not sure about the color.
The aroma is dominated by a peach aroma - it's not unexpected, but it is a little bit sweeter than I was expected (and wanting). Kind of like a peach-flavored candy. I couldn't really pick up anything else besides the peach.
Taste is similarly dominated by the peach flavors, and a little bit of a bready malt as well. The coriander is harder to detect, but seems to come in more towards the finish. The peach-candy aspect of the aroma is continued in the aftertaste, which gives a little bit overwhelming after about half the bottle.
It feels pretty light at first, but after awhile the beer starts to feel a little bit 'filmy' on the tongue. Not especially pleasant.
I'm indifferent to peaches, so I may not be the best judge of a peach beer, but the Blue Moon First Peach seemed to lean very heavy on the very sweet peach flavors and not so much on the coriander or the other beer flavors.
