Comments
Sophisticated twist on a StA standard
I am enjoying this the more I drink it. Poppe brought it to me in the Straight to Ale taproom. This version of BroJo is caramel with a thin white ring. No lacing. It smells so luxurious; lots of esters giving me dark fruit and raisin aromas with a puff of booze from the cognac. Taste is very much like the normal Brother Joe but a bit more crisp, the fruit flavors are tamed just a bit with a sweet and smooth alcohol covering. This tastes its ABV, but I think in a good way. If you told me this was 9-10%, it wouldn't shock me. I will definitely have this again. I think it may be better than Blood Brother ( BroJo with blood oranges).
