Are We Out Of The Woods Yet?
The Carhartt Woodsman is a barrel-aged pale ale from the New Holland Brewing Company. It pours out a nice amber gold and smells brightly of cascade hops (my favorite kind). The flavor is hoppy and bright with a touch of sweetness from the malt, and a slight hint of oakiness from the barrels. The aging gives the beer a smooth finish that doesn’t have the same kind of hop bitterness you’d expect from something with this much flavor. A nice refreshing beer after a long day.
