The new Falls City Beer is an Extra Special English Pale Ale. It is a “session beer”, similar to the pale ale Falls City made back in the 1930’s. Falls City was Louisville’s original micro-brewery with several different varieties of beer (including a Pale Ale). For now, our only brew is a really nice ale which is full-bodied and well-balanced with a nice finish. It is less hoppy than typical American Pale Ales, so the third and fourth ones are just as much fun to drink as the first. So if you’re disappointed (or relieved) we’re “not like the old Falls City”, we are! -- just more like the really old Falls City. (Description provided by company)

Not a bad session beer
The Falls City Pale Ale pours a pleasing clear honey-amber. About half a finger of a foamy head that lasts longer than expected - adds a nice texture to the first 1/3 of the glass.
The beer's aroma is primarily that of malt, with very subtle hop and grain aromas as well. The taste is similar - crisp maltiness up front that overpowers the (very) subtle hop flavors at the finish. Very dry finish with little to no aftertaste.
It feels medium-light in the mouth - nothing really special, but not watery or unpleasant. The right amount of carbonation make this beer refreshing but not uncomfortable to drink.
Overall, a decent session beer - it's nothing incredibly special, but it will also pair well with just about any food or no food.
