Nicht Gut!
When I saw this at the beer store, I did a quick search online about it. First descriptions I saw mentioned it was a blend of sour apples and sweet apples. As a cider and sour beer lover, this seemed like a great beer.
Things started off okay with Abraxxxas pouring out like a dark hard cider; a slightly cloudy, dingy yellow with no head. But things suddenly took a turn for the worse when I took a sniff. I got an odd, almost seafood/fishy smell mixed with citrus, honey, and yeast. I wasn't really smelling apple at all. The taste was very muted. The smokiness was a bit offputting, giving it bit of a sweaty sock flavor. The mouthfeel was fairly light and similar to cider.
