Guinness Nitro IPA is everything you’d want from an English-style IPA balanced with everything you’d expect from Guinness. Using our peerless expertise in nitrogenation, we’ve re-imagined the IPA to create a smoother, creamier texture and a whole new way to enjoy the flavors and aromas of the style. A complex mix of five hop varieties yields a strong body with citrus flavors and pine notes. Berry sweetness arrives. Bitterness lingers. (Description provided by company)

A cool looking beer to pour (and not a bad one to drink)
A really, really cool looking beer to pour. The Nitro and the widget inside the can means that you can actually see the head in the stream as you pour it, and the Nitro gives a smooth and creamy head with basically no bubbles. It is a relatively dark color, though, but the head will last as long as the beer is in the glass.
A hoppy but moderately tame nose for an IPA. Herbal, along with a slightly fruity and a little bit of pine are the primary hop aromas, and a moderate caramel malt gives a nice balance. This is a classic English IPA - the flavors are hoppy but the bitterness is nicely restrained. The herbal and pine flavors come out the strongest, and the finish is moderately long but not aggressive.
A quick note about the body: like other nitro ales, this one is quite smooth and creamy, although I think that I am a more of a fan of Nitro beers being darker stouts and porters. Although the Nitro does temper some of the prickly, sharp hop flavors, it also gives the beer almost a 'flat' feeling on the tongue.
