The Bell's guy at the bar told me that this is basically a stout with a dubbel Belgian yeast strain.

Hell Hath No Fury is very dark, nearly black, in the glass with a finger-thick tan head which slowly dissolved and left nice sheets of lacing on the glass.

Smell starts off with a Belgian yeast aroma of fruitiness and clove, which is then followed by the expected cafe mocha of a stout.

The taste of Hell Hath No Fury is more balanced with the sweet Belgian character and stout traits walking hand-in-hand.

Pours a jet black with a full three finger tan head. Fairly long head retention leaves a nice looking glass.

Lots of dark malt aromas - coffee, chocolate, a bit of licorice, and other dark flavors. A slight hint of fruitiness - from the yeast, I assume - but the dark malt aromas are prominent.

The dark malt flavors are strong, but an assertive, sweeter, caramel malt along with the bright fruity flavors helps keep the dark malt bitterness from getting too overpowering. A slight earthy, herbal spiciness, but the overall bitterness is surprisingly low. A light and lingering aftertaste rounds out a nice, relatively light-bodied porter.
