Hobgoblin went into the pint glass a clear, burnt orangey-brown with a beige single finger head which slowly shrank to a film. It smells nutty with hints of cherries. With the dark ale name, I was hoping more of those cherries would carry over to the taste. Alas, it is a fairly standard ESB in the Taste Dept. It feels nice with the medium body with some bite in the end.
