Description:

Judge Roy Bean is an American stout brewed in collaboration with our good friends at Fairhope Roasting Company, whose House Blend is cold-brewed and added to this already decadent brew. This beer is our tribute to the beloved Eastern Shore landmark, and much like the old days at the Bean, we think you'll love spending your holiday with Judge Roy Bean. Colored a dark brown, almost black, with a light tan head

Lots of dark, roasted malt and coffee aromas. The coffee ads a little bit of a earthy bitterness, which balances nicely against the sweeter and lighter-roasted malts that are present.

The coffee and malt flavors blend well - nice stout flavors and a hint of a roasted coffee brightness. A little sweetness as well, with a moderate aftertaste. A nicely full body.

Sometimes coffee added to stouts can become overly dark and bitter, with nothing to balance against, but this is one of the better blends of coffee and beer - very drinkable, a nice controlled bitterness, and not an overly-long finish.
