Comments
Looking for a lighter beer with some flavor?
Pours a crystal clear light gold with a half finger of head. Lots of bubbles rising from the bottom of the glass. Head has moderate quick retention.
Nose is malt dominated, and the aromas are biscuity and bready. Some light yeast and slightly floral hop aromas as well.
Taste is similarly malt focused, with the biscuity malts taking precedence over the hop flavors. Although there are some floral and herbal hops, their bitterness is relatively low. A fairly dry aftertaste as well.
A light body and quite high carbonation. Very light and crisp without being too prickly. Bubbles still rising even after 5 minutes or drinking.
The Kentucky Kolsch is a relatively faithful reproduction of the German Kolsch style. A bit more laid back than many American styles, but a wonderful lighter beer that still has some flavor and body.
