Pitch black with a light tan and very smooth, creamy head. Very attractive, with a moderate amount of lacing, and the head sticks around quite a while.
Lots of dark malt aromas and a nice whiff of coffee. A lot of dark malt and coffee flavors, but a moderately long and coffee finish. Despite the dark malt, the bitterness is only moderate - something like a medium roast coffee.
I love Nitro stouts - the texture is a great match for the dark, slightly sweet flavors,and this one is no exception. The extra coffee flavors add a very nice touch.
