Description:

A non traditional american wheat beer that was fermented with one of our house ale yeasts, pours with an off-white head and has a light lemon flavor. Spicy lemon citrus hits the nose. The Sorachi Ace hops provide tangy, lemony qualities that work in unison with the lemongrass. From start to finish you will find a deliciously balanced wheat ale with a crisp mouth feel and moderate hop bitterness. (Description provided by company)

Pours a very cloudy golden orange. Very cloudy, lots of visible sediment. Bubbly and risky white head. Nice moderately long retention, with a small amount of lacing.

A malty wheat nose, with a nice amount of lemon citrus aroma.

Taste gives a much bigger dose of the citrus from the lemongrass, as well as some noticeable hop bitterness. Not as much as you'll find in an IPA or an APA, but more than your typical wheat beer. Aftertaste isn't quite as well balanced, with mostly bitter flavors sticking around, although they don't stay long.

A fairly light body with moderately high carbonation. The unfiltered nature gives a very slight texture in the mouth, that actually helps since it's otherwise so light feeling.

A twist on a pretty standard style, this is a decent summer beer, with a light body, nice flavors, and (mostly) easy to drink. If a wheat beer with lemon sounds good, this beer may be just the ticket.
