Description:

This refreshing summer offering has all the flavor and aroma of a freshly picked peaches (to the tune of 1,000 pounds per 100 barrel batch!) combined with the complexity of a well executed farmhouse ale. Some of you may remember Maggie’s older sister, Side Project Volume 7, one of Spike’s first first foray into farmhouse ales. This newest version is just as lovely, should age just as well and has the uniquely Georgia flavor of fresh summer peaches! (Description provided by company)

If any aspect of beer and peaches together interests you, head out and grab a bottle now. Terrapin's peach farmhouse ale smells of peach and has a dominant peach taste, but that shouldn't be misunderstood as the beer smelling or tasting of "peach".

The peach ale poured out gold with hardly any carbonation and a tiny cap of a head. Smells of fresh peaches with hints of grain and ginger. It tastes primarily of peach but has a hop presence in the second half that keeps the sweetness in check. While the carbonation is barely visible, I definitely felt them on my tongue. Not a beer I expect to crave, but can see my having a bottle each summer as part of my Southern summer rituals.
