A hint of rye in this IPA
Mumbai Rye is a dark gold in my glass. It is topped with a filmy head.
Citrus is up front and is joined by the smell of grain...but not really rye.
There seems to be some rye in the taste, though, along with the bitter, citrus hops.
Think of this more as an IPA with a rye twist and not a "rye IPA".
Two Different Personalities - both nice!
Pours out a golden amber with a thin, off white head.
The aroma is much more typical of an IPA than a rye. Hop aromas, grapefruit and piney hops with a crisp and bready - almost toasty - malt
The rye is more pronounced in the flavor than in the nose and the spiciness gives a nice balance to the brighter, bitter hop flavors. The bitterness is moderate and the aftertaste is moderately long and piney. A medium light body.
