Description:

To label a beer as extraordinary is to trust its ingredients from the start. Crystal filtered artesian water, whole hops, and the choicest malted barley create this American-style pale ale we are pleased to call PMX. The character of an American Pale Ale varies from region to region and is dependent upon the ingredients used. In ours, one can expect harmony between malt and hops without dominating tastes of sweet or bitter. (Description provided by company)

Pours a hazy reddish amber, with a very full two fingers of an off white and bubbly head. Although thick, the head does dissipate fairly quickly.

A hoppy nose, with a lot of traditional American hop aromas - grapefruit, citrus, and pine needles. The malt is noticeable, but definitely in the background.

The taste has some nice hop flavors without being overpoweringly bitter, but the carbonation in this bottle is (hopefully) abnormally low. This feels as flat as a Coke that's been open for several days. Still, nice balance, medium long aftertaste.

A medium body, but the beer felt pretty flat and uncarbonated - disappointing.

Some nice flavor potential, but this bottle of Phinn and Matt's fell flat (literally).
