Pomegranate tartness, but lacking in Cherry sweetness
Pomegranate Planet starts off as a wheat beer with pomegranate added to the brewing process.
It is a cloudy, pale yellow. Looks a lot like pulpy pineapple juice. A slight white ring remains.
This smells a lot like their Quantum Wheat with the strong banana, but there is a tartness here that Quantum doesn't have.
The taste is very much like the smell with banana dominating but with an un-banana burst of tart. I was expecting more Cherry or grenadine-like sweetness, based on a couple of other pomegranate beers I've sampled before.
Feels medium bodied; my tongue can feel the clouds my eyes see.
Not bad, just disappointed. I would just order the Quantum Wheat next time.
