Ever wanted to combine pumpkin pie and beer?
Pours a deep copper with a half finger of head. Head is light tan and little retention.
Nose is very reminiscent of pumpkin and fall. Cinnamon and nutmeg are also very noticeable in the nose. Some light malt is also there, hop aromas are very low.
Taste is very strong on the pumpkin and fall spices. A slightly sweet caramel malt backbone and a very light herbal hop flavor. Bitterness is low and the aftertaste is strong in pumpkin.
Moderate light body with average carbonation.
If you are a fan of fall (and who isn't) this Schlafly Pumpkin Ale is pretty much fall in a bottle. Or you've ever wanted to put pumpkin pie in a bottle, here you go.
