Pumpkin Beer #4,321...
Dark mostly opaque ruby red with a thin head. Practically no lacing, and very little head retention.
Aromas are reminiscent of pumpkin pie - cinnamon, nutmeg, and other holiday spices. A little caramel and biscuity malt aromas as well. More of a sweeter/dessert aroma character.
Taste is nicely balanced between pumpkin flavors and malt. Quite low bitterness, but not overly sweet or out of balance.
Medium light body and carbonation.
There have been a wide variety of pumpkin beers released this year, but this beer is a nice balance of the pumpkin/holiday flavors and the malty/hoppy flavors from the beer.
Nicely balanced
Rogue pumpkin patch ale pours hazy amber with a smell that's a little floral and not overwhelmingly pumpkin. The flavor has a solid balance of pumpkin, spice, and sweetness. Delicious. Just the right amount of carbonation rounds it all out.
