Pours a transparent reddish amber. Moderate off white head with light lacing.
Nose is dominated by some lightly roasted malt with a subtle pine hop. Some bready, caramel, and citrus aromas as well.
Taste is nicely balanced between malt and hops, with a slightly sweet and roasted malt flavor upfront along with a smooth pine and citrus hop profile. Fairly quick aftertaste.
Medium full body, and average carbonation.
A nicely balanced, if a little bit conservative, red ale. Well worth a try, if you like a bit less aggression in your beers.
