A crisp, refreshing version of a traditional Belgian beer. Fruity, slightly spicy flavors from the Belgian yeast are balanced by toffee and caramel notes from our blend of malts while the hops provide a citrus character that rounds out this enjoyable brew. (Description provided by company)

Clear golden yellow, with a creamy and full finger of head that dissipates over about a minute to a thin, bubbly layer.

Moderately crisp malt and a noticeable fruity aroma lead off. The malt is a little toasty, but the pear and banana aromas are very inviting and don't hold back. The fruity flavors come out strong, with just a bit of toasty malt and a hint of citrus hoppiness. A slightly spicy finish, but the bitterness is definitely low, and the finish is crisp and clean.

If you want something different from the normal summer pale ale and wheat ale, Belgian beers are where it's at. The fruity flavors and the low ABV in the Sam Adams Belgian Session make for a great refreshing beverage with some less common flavors. I think this may be my favorite in the Summer pack!
