Description:

This crisp pale ale is named after Crystal hops grown in Oregon, which give the beer its distinctive American hop character. That classic aroma and citrusy, floral flavor that the Crystal hops provide is accented by the subtle earthiness of UK hops and balanced by a deep yet subtle malt sweetness with notes of toffee. Transparent with a light copper, fluffy and off white head. Nice looking.

Aroma is nice combination of some herbal, earthy English hops and some spicy slightly citrus American hops. Taste is well balanced and bitterness is fairly low. The toffee and caramel malt flavors are strong and pleasant, and the hop flavors come on towards the finish, which accentuates the two different hop styles.

A nice mix of both American and English hop flavors. I think that this is a nice transitional beer for the end of winter and the beginning of spring. It's easy drinking enough for a porch or barbecue, but tasty enough to satisfy beer lovers.
