Nearly black when poured with a huge head that quickly shrank to a top coating, leaving chunks of lacing on the glass. Smell is not strong but has oatmeal, yeast, and some chocolate. Taste is more coffee than chocolate with a slight bitter finish. Feels silky smooth in the mouth. Very happy with the beer. Sam Smith's Oatmeal Stout is very good but isn't particularly attention-grabbing.
