Our Coffee Stout is a classic combination of a traditional stout and premium French roast coffee from St. Louis roaster, Kaldi’s Coffee. Roasted barley and coffee dominate the aroma, with the sweetness from the stout balancing the acidity of the coffee. We use a unique cold toddy extraction process to brew a less acidic coffee for the beer. (Description provided by company)

A coffee-lover's beer
The Schlafly Coffee Stout pours a dark brown with a nice tan head. The two fingers of head have very good retention and nice lacing.
The nose, unsurprisingly, smells mostly of coffee and chocolate, along with a roasted malt and subtle hop aroma. The taste has more malt and hops than the nose, and the coffee is definitely present. The taste is actually slightly reminiscent of an iced (black) coffee. Lingering aftertaste of coffee - if you like coffee, however, it is not unpleasant - a nice dessert beer.
Mouthfeel is full bodied with fairly low carbonation. A creamy and pleasantly smooth drinking beer.
