Pours a pale golden yellow, with a full and bubbly white head. The head is strong and long lasting, with nice rings of lacing left behind as the beer disappears.

Soft wheat aromas, citrus (mostly lemon), and a floral lightly fruity hop aroma.

Taste is stronger on the crisp and bready pale malts than the aroma let on, along with slightly biting citrus and floral flavors and bitterness. A quick aftertaste. There is a hint of the round, soft wheat malt aromas, but not as much as expected.

A medium body, and nicely sparkly carbonation.

A little bit less body and more bite than some wheat ales, Great Lakes Sharpshooter is on the aggressive side of wheat beers.
