Comments
Not my kind of stout
I poured the Sprecher Irish Stout out of the bottle to see the near black brew form a little tan head that bloated and receded like a soda...leaving a beer that looked like a day-old Coke. Not much aroma, but got a smell of milk chocolate and a bit of Brut cologne. Taste is bitter coffee and licorice. Mouthfeel is light and drinkable. If I liked licorice, this wouldn't be a bad beer to spend a day chugging from bottles (since the unpleasant notes won't be noticed if you don't let your nose linger inside of the glass).
