Translucent ruby red with a full but quickly receding bubbly light tan head.

A malty nose with some dark fruitiness and a little bit of hop bitterness. Aside from the subtle dark fruit, this beer smells a few shades lighter than it looks.

Unfortunately the alcohol, which wasn't too strong in the aroma, is quite prominent in the taste. Despite this, there are some good flavors, although they are a bit buried. Notes of apricot and lighter fruits (melon, banana, etc) give a nice touch of sweetness to the herbal and slightly spicy hop flavors. The alcohol does keep the finish nice and short, though.

A medium body and moderately low carbonation.

A nice malty beverage with the alcohol maybe a bit too far forward.
