St. Bernardus's tripel was a hazy corn color with a thick bubbly head that slowly receded, leaving nice sheets of lacing with each sip. It smells of light fruits and caramel. Light fruits, caramelized sugar, and a bit of grass on the end. Balanced with sweetness and bitterness both existing, but muted. This tripel feels medium bodied with a good bit of carbonation but the bubbles don't interfere with the smoothness over the tongue.
