St. Rogue Red pours a hazy reddish brown amber with two fingers of a creamy head, with good retention and lacing.
Nose is mostly hoppy - citrus and pine mostly - although notes of herbs, malts, and bread are also present. The taste is crisp malt, and a nicely balanced bitter hoppiness. Piney hops are most prominent, although citrus does come out at the finish. Body is medium, with relatively high carbonation.
A nice red ale, with a lot of hop character - if you like red ales and hops, this is a beer you must try!
