May want to plug your nose when drinking
I expressed curiosity to the bartender about how much I enjoy Berliner Weiss beers, so I was interested in having a pour of Fairhope's S'Wheat Home. Instead of giving me a full pour, he offered up a taster instead. I'm grateful for his offering.
The beer was a champagne color with a white head. The lacing was very nice and long-lived. And then I did something I immediately regretted. I took a sniff of the glass. When I did such, my nose was filled with the aroma of Parmesan cheese. GROSS! I put the glass down and took another sniff. Yup, that is Parmesan cheese, all right. Thankfully, the taste was much better; tart, with a wheaty taste accompanied by some light fruits (more of a combo of grape and apricot to me than lemon).
I don't plan on having this again, but if I'm offered some for free I do want to see if I just got a bad batch this time at the bar.
