Description:

This beer, known in the taproom as the Bryan Ave Belgian Blonde, is light in color, but deep in flavor and aroma with hints of spiciness that come from the Belgian-style yeast that is used when brewing the beer. It finishes moderately dry with just enough hop bitterness to balance out any remaining sweetness.

The label, which is different from many of the other West Sixth offerings, features an orange and yellow Kentucky farm scene. (Description provided by company)

Pours a hazy golden yellow, with a half finger of a bubbly white head. A thin layer of head sticks around for awhile, and leaves light lacing. Lots of bubbles.

Nose is a nice combination of bready, citrus, and fruity

The taste is similar to the nose, with lots of fruity ester flavors along with a nice hit of citrus hops. The overall bitterness is fairly low, and the aftertaste is quite quick.

A medium body with moderately high carbonation.

The Belgian Blonde by West Sixth Brewing is pretty good. A nice change of pace from the typical amber ales and IPA's you see throughout the beer cooler. Hopefully these Belgian styles become more common throughout the country.
