Monday Night Brewing

Monday Night Brewing

Brief History and Information:

Monday Night Brewing originated from a local Bible study group. Brewing beer became a group activity on Monday nights. Time goes by, the group grows, and a brewery is born.

The brewery and tasting room are open four days a week. For $12, a visitor gets a tour, a souvenir pint glass, and six 6 ounce pours of beer. If you visit within a day of your birthday, you get the tasting tour for free!

Slap Fight will woo you in with a West Coast-style malt bill, but slaps you across the face with its tropical hop profile. Light in body, heavy in character, this IPA features Munich and Crystal pale malts for a clean, rich mouthfeel.

Georgian Imperial Stout

Tue, 03/15/2016 - 14:28 -- Cory

Monday Night Brewing of Atlanta, Georgia has rolled out an interesting brew - a Russian Imperial Stout that has been brewed with hazelnuts from Georgia (the country next to Russia, not the state). I am going into Georgian Imperial hoping for the complexity I enjoy in a good RIS as well as hopefully actually tasting the hazelnuts. What can I say, but if I grab a Ritter or some other fancy chocolate bar, I will commonly search out one with hazelnuts. To say I had high hopes for this beer is not overstating things.

A juicy IPA. Pirates love citrus fruits almost as much as they love blood. If the phrase “you are what you eat” is true, then pirates are blood oranges. If the phrase “you are what you drink” is true, you’re about to be an incredibly delicious, juicy hop bomb of an IPA.

Why mess with the perfection that is Drafty Kilt Scotch Ale? We just couldn’t help ourselves. Nitrogenating instead of carbonating gives this beer a creamier mouthfeel, and blends the malt flavors into one smooth, dreamy note. The smokiness is still present, but plays a supporting role.
