Description:
A German-style schwarzbier, or "black beer," brewed with a blend of German Munich malt, Vienna malt and "huskless" roasted malts, which give the beer a smooth toasty character. Our version employs a German ale yeast rather than the traditional lager yeast. (Description provided by company)
This beer was originally named Lost Highway, but had to be renamed at the start of 2016 thanks to legal issues.

Comments
Not so bad to get lost on this highway
Lost Highway was black into the glass with a slight off-white head.
Smells of roasted malt and cream.
The taste is malt-forward with earthy, bitter coffee with hints of grass and chocolate.
Light body with a tickle of carbonation.
Not a favorite style, but I found it pleasant.
Roasty lager when a stout isn't available
Dark caramel with a beige head that was very thick and slowly shrank. A ring and lovely lacing remained. Smells of roast, smoke, and a slight fruity finish. Taste is coffee, toffee, and grass. The sweetness is stronger than the bitter, but barely. Nicely balanced. Slightly light body and gentle carbonation make this very easy to drink. I love stouts and this was a nice detour when one wasn't on tap.
Lost Highway: Smooth dark beer
Don't let looks fool you! This is a dark beer without the dark beer bite. A smooth, full-flavored, all day sipper!
