Straight to Ale's Sixth Anniversary dark sour ale is really dark caramel with a film of a head. There is a strong tart cherry smell. Reminds me a bit of the Southern Tier Imperial Cherry Gose I had earlier. The taste remains on the cherries but also imparts other dark fruit flavors. Very yummy, not candy-like at all, wanted more after my sample glass was done.
