Summer Beer, Makes You Feel Fine
Pours a crystal clear light golden yellow, with a thin head. Little retention and lacing. Nice bubbles rising constantly.
Nose is malty, with a slight fruity citrus aroma from the Noble hops. The malt is bready and yeasty.
Crisp and malty - nice bready and biscuit malt flavors. The hops are fairly subtle, and impart only a little bitterness. Aftertaste is brief, and not bitter.
Nice carbonation - without being too fizzy - and a medium light body.
Schlafly Summer Lager really does drink like a good European light-colored lager. Crisp and refreshing, a little bit of hop character (without much bitterness), and tasty malts.
