Poured out of a bomber right out of the fridge at about 38 degrees.

In the glass, this is a pretty standard looking IPA, although it is a bit cloudier than some. A light amber in color, and completely translucent. A thin head off the pour, that slowly grows into an off white head that was, at most, about one finger thick. The head did stick around for awhile, though, leaving some bubbles along the edges of the glass.

A bright and appealing nose (assuming that you like IPAs and their typical hop aromas). Hop aromas from the Amarillo hops are very strong on the grapefruit and orange/tangerine aromas as well as a light fruit aroma. A malty background aroma is nice and bready and also has a very slight caramel malt sweetness.

Some strong hop flavors in this beer, although the bitterness is fairly well under controlled. Hop flavors are strong and present upfront, with the grapefruit and orange flavors strong on the back of the tongue. The sweeter and bready malt flavors are not nearly as present in the taste as they were in the aroma, but there is a hint of the dry, bready malt after the hop flavors die down. The aftertaste is moderately long, and the citrus and fruity flavors predominate, which can get a little tiring on the palate after awhile.

The mouthfeel is a nice balance between a light (sometimes watery) pilsner and a thicker Imperial IPA. The carbonation is a little on the high side, but it still works very well and gives the beer a little bit more refreshing of a feeling. It does get a little filmy, leaving a slightly sticky residue on the tongue.

A good example of the style, Rogue's Yellow Snow IPA is a nice hoppy beer that is a good example of the style and a nice beer for a warm summer day.
