Pale Ale for Drinkers Who Don't Enjoy Hops
I got a pint of Yellowhammer's English pale ale in their tap room on Labor Day. Tom handed me the glass with a hazy orange brew and a slight off-white head.
Smell is sweet malt and some bread, not very strong aroma.
The taste gets my attention much better than the smell. I taste sweet bread, some caramel tones, and a bit of herbal hops. Very little bitterness.
The mouthfeel is really great. It is a nice balance between fullness in my mouth and very smooth and easy to drink. I kinda wish I enjoyed the taste a bit more because I really enjoyed the feeling of drinking this pale ale.
