Euro Dark Lager

A darker-colored relative of the Euro Light Lager style, the Euro Dark Lager is often inspired by, though different than, the German dark lager styles.

Ranging in color from amber to a dark brown, this style is typically malt-forward, with the darker caramel malts giving a bit more sweetness to the malt flavor. This sweetness is balanced by the use of hops, although the hop flavors are typically subordinate to the malty flavors. Particular hop varieties and flavors vary depending on the particular brewer.

Best served cool, at 46-54 degrees, and in a pint glass, pilsner glass, or beer mug.
