Batch 19
Batch 19
Made popular by American brewers - many of whom were European immigrants trying to recreate the German Pilsner - this style of beer was popular both before and after Prohibition. The use of corn dates back to the Pilgrims, and using corn and rice combines to not only produce a very light body and flavor, but also cuts cost.
The result is a beer that is almost always a pale yellow, with little malt flavor and aroma, and almost no hop flavor or bitterness.
Best served cold, at 39-44 degrees, and in a pint glass or beer mug.
