Kvass

An old Russian beer from the 16th century, it was traditionally made with local grains, sugar, and local berries, fruit, or other additions. Alcohol is generally low, and its also usually brewed with local herbs or fruits to mellow the sometimes strong bitterness.

Best served cool, at 46-54 degrees, and in a pint glass or beer mug.
