Japanese Rice Lager

Broadly similar to the American Adjunct Lager, the Japanese Rice Lager mixes large amounts of rice in with the barley, in order to lessen the cost and change the beers flavor.

Generally a pale yellow in color, the rice addition gives the beer a very light body and a crisp mouthfeel. A slight malt sweetness and very low (but still perceptible) hop bitterness.

Best served cold, 39-45 degrees, and in a pint glass, pilsner glass, or beer mug.
