About average, but better than other grocery store options
Straw yellow pour with fizzy white head that quickly disappeared. Strong biscuit with malt and then some fruits in the background when sniffed. Taste is biscuit and fruity sweetness. Body is light with a hint of carbonation.
An Unexpected Gator
Clear golden yellow, lots of rising bubbles, and a full 1.5 finger head.
Bready and pale malt aromas, with a little hint of an floral and lightly fruity hop aroma.
The malt flavors are strong with a hint of sweetness, along with some floral hop flavors and a subtle alcohol at the finish. A fairly quick aftertaste.
A fairly full body - a little unexpected from the looks of this beer, with high carbonation to keep it crisp.
The Abita Andygator is malt heavy in flavor, but except for the subtle alcohol flavors, you wouldn't expect this to be an 8 ABV beer. Drink carefully!
