An extra pale ale that drinks clean and possesses a finishing hop kick, BlueMile is a collaboration between Flat 12 and BlueMile (a running specialty store with locations in Indiana and Kentucky). BlueMile pours a clear gold, with an off-white bubbly head. Some moderate head retention, and average lacing.

Nose is citrus, with slightly sweet caramel malt. The hops are really dominant, though.

Hoppy, strong citrus and pine flavors. Moderate bitterness, and a moderate long finish. An extra hop kick at the end gives the aftertaste a nice citrus-y bitterness.

Moderate full body, medium carbonation. Not quite syrupy, but a bit to close to whole milk for it to be on the refreshing end of the spectrum.

Flat12 BlueMile is a nicely balanced, tasty, and easy-drinking APA, but with a body this full, I can't imagine having this beer after having run anywhere.
