Description:
I need to know what kind of beer cowboys drink, as I have recently become one. I want to be the best cowboy I can be, and I think drinking the correct beer is important. I already have a cowboy hat and a nice big shiny buckle? (Description provided by company)

10 Gallon Hat Not Required (But Recommended)
Pours a very hazy orange amber, with a half finger of a thin off white head. Not quite what I expected from a Pilsner
An interesting aroma depending on where you sniff - from the bottle I get a nice smokiness and a light citrus hop aroma, while from the glass the hops all but overpower the more subtle smoke aromas.
The taste is not nearly as hop heavy and the nose lets on, though, which does let out some of the smoke flavors in the beer's finish. The grapefruit/citrus hop flavors are balanced by a bready malt, and bitterness is moderately low. The smoke gives a lingering (but subtle) finish.
A medium body and moderate carbonation.
A smoked Pilsner is not a style that I have seen done a lot, though Evil Twin's Cowboy does it well. It's more subtle than other smoked beers, but that seems to be by design, and so this beer would be equally appropriate for someone who likes the idea of smoke in their beer and someone who is looking to branch out a little from more "traditional" beers.
