Pours a moderate brown - slightly hazy. Fairly thin head, with little retention and subtle alcohol legs.

Nose is very aromatic. Caramel and biscuit malt, subtle yeast aromas, along with strong pine resin and grapefruit hop aromas and noticeable alcohol.

The IBU of 112 doesn't lie. It may in fact be a little low. Strong hop bitterness. Hop flavors are piney and strong. Malt flavors are also very big and strong, but are no match for the hops. Alcohol helps to cut short the very piney aftertaste.

Moderately full body and moderate carbonation.

If you like hops, strong flavors, or just want to find out where your limits might be, this is the beer for you. The Devil Dancer is probably one of the most polarizing beers you'll find, but if you think you might be a hop junky, Founder's has the beer for you!
