IPA with potential?
Pours a transparent amber with one finger head. Decent retention and nice lacing.
Nose is some hops with noticeable malt. Some spice and citrus aromas as well. Taste is fairly strong on malt for an IPA. Although the hops are noticeable more at the finish. Medium light body and moderate carbonation.
Although there are some interesting flavors, the strong flavors of malt and grain overpower most of the interesting things.
Looks do, in fact, matter to me
Diesel Punk's IPA pours a translucent orange-gold with a thick frothy head. It has a citrus hop nose to it, mostly notes of orange and a little pine. The flavor is a little non-descript. It tastes like a slightly-sweetened IPA with just a bit of bite in the finish. And I do mean "just". It's pretty tame. Which is fine. But they were going to have to put on quite the show to overcome that awful name and worse bottle label.
