Description:
So good it’s almost wrong. Dark ruby in color and brewed with seven varieties of imported malts. Complex in finish, with hints of smoke and peat, paired with a malty richness and a right hook of hop power to give it the bad attitude that a beer named Dirty Bastard has to live up to. Ain’t for the wee lads. (Description provided by company)

If it's not Scotch, it's crap!
Pours a deep reddish brown, although it is translucent held up to light. A half finger tan head, with moderate retention and good lacing.
Nose is roasted malt, dark fruit, along with some more subtle smoke and alcohol aromas. The taste strong on the roasted malt, and the dark fruit sweetness. Other flavors are some piney hops, alcohol, as well as a bit of smoke. The bitter chocolate notes come out strong in the aftertaste, which is moderately long. A medium body, and low carbonation feels very smooth and creamy.
A very tasty, complex, and strong Scotch Ale - the piney hops toward the end add a little bit of brightness to what could be a slightly dull beer. Delicious!
Somewhere between a quad and a stout
Dirty Bastard poured out dark amber with a thin tan head. It smells of plums and spice - kind of like a dull quad. Tastes mostly of coffee with some hops for balance. I found it to be smooth with a medium body.
Scotchy scotch scotch
Founder's Dirty Bastard is scotch style ale. It pours a golden caramel color with a head that looks remarkably the same, though with not a lot of retention.
It smells heavenly. Malty and sweet, a little bit nutty. There is nothing wrong with this smell. At this point I don't even care how it tastes.
It doesn't taste as sweet as it smells, thankfully. As great as that smell is, drinking something that tasted as sweet as DB smelled would probably get tiresome after a few ounces. Instead, there's Just enough bite in the finish to be refreshing. It's not too heavy, and there's a nice balance to the flavor.
A fine beer. There are better scotch ales out there, but this one is good.
