A laidback golden pilsner that’s full of character. The fun of brewing is that it’s always evolving, even in the world’s most popular beer style, the pilsner, there’s still room for creativity. For our German Pilsner we wanted to showcase both new & heritage hops from the original hop gardens of Bavaria. The classic Noble hops offer a floral spiciness while the new varieties create a fruity & citrusy character for an elegant, light bodied yet flavorful brew. (Description provided by company)

A variation on a theme
Completely transparent and a golden yellow. Along with the half finger of head makes for a very attractive pilsner.
The nose is herbal and malty, with a bready and biscuity malt. Herbal and grassy Noble hops provide a nice balance.
The taste is slightly stronger in the hop flavors than expected, but the bitterness is well under control and typical for the style. A little bit more citrus flavors in the hop profile than I expected also, it was a nice change from the 'typical' Pilsner.
A medium light body and moderately high carbonation.
A slight variation on the typical Pilsner style, the Downtime Pilsner but Sam Adams is worth a try!
